Data Privacy and Digital Transformation: The Impact of Big Data on Healthcare

Event description
Digital transformation is impacting all areas in healthcare. Smart devices and electronic health records are improving the patient journey and achieve better outcomes, but we need to balance innovations against the impact that they have on health outcomes versus the perceived risks of "big data". How do we build the trust of patients and how do we guarantee safety in the use of their data?

The effectiveness of the healthcare system relies on successful collaboration between patients, payers, providers and regulators, and digital is key to rethinking how these actors can better interact to improve health. Cooperation is crucial to solving the data security concerns to enable the required information sharing to make a difference to society’s health and well-being.

Data privacy is the key issue, and complying with privacy laws is the starting point. Patients are more concerned with their own experience and less about platforms and standards, they want to understand how their personal data is being used. This will continue to be a barrier until the industry has better solutions, and could tell a clear, trustworthy story to patients.

Whether you are a "big pharma", start-up, service provider or an academic or medical practitioner, you will deepen your knowledge and understanding of this critical subject. Come and hear from our panel of experts of healthcare professionals and industry and data experts.
