HBA BOSTON-CAMBRIDGE METRO PRESENTS

2014 HBA Boston Mentoring End-of-Year Celebration

Event details
The 2014 HBA mentoring season is rapidly coming to a close. You may be wondering what's next? Wonder no longer by joining in the fun at this fast-paced mentoring end of year celebration.

We want to hear from you. Share with us a piece of your journey, or what you liked best about the mentoring program. We want to hear your suggestions on what to do differently, too, so that we can make the mentoring program more sensational next year.

Before you come, we ask that you reflect on your mentoring year, consider the goals or expectations that you had at the beginning and whether you achieved progression or found obstacles. Both mentees and mentors - and connectors and committee members! - can benefit from this exercise. What else is on your horizon? Capture the momentum and energy of your own and others' experiences to plan some next steps.

Take the opportunity to meet individuals from other mentoring circles. Learn approaches used successfully by past mentoring participants as they continued pursuit of advancement long after their mentoring program. Attend HBA events to learn something new and to expand your network of trusting relationships. Volunteer as a mentor or connector; it's very rewarding. Join an HBA committee and contribute in valuable ways.

At this end of year celebration for the first time we plan to host a silent auction. Come prepared to bid on prizes such as: mentoring and coaching sessions for individuals or groups, attendance to HBA chapter events, leadership books, and more. Proceeds from the auction will benefit future HBA Boston mentoring programs.

Remember to bring lots of business cards and practice your 30 second elevator speech. Please click here to view a list of sample items for auction.
