HBA NEW YORK PRESENTS

Celebrating Women in STEM on International Women's Day

Women fill 47 percent of the US workforce but only hold 24 percent of all STEM jobs. Once in the workforce, young women are less likely to lead and take risks than their male counterparts while more likely to undermine themselves and avoid conflict. In honor of International Women’s Day, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) New York and JLABS at NYC are proud to bring you a program that convenes individuals in the STEM workforce to facilitate conversations in the #PushForProgress towards gender equality. During this program, speakers will share their experiences and insights in the #PushForProgress throughout their own careers in STEM, and will share valuable assets for growing individually and developing talent in STEM-related fields. Attendees will be invited to participate in discussions with the speakers to reflect, examine pitfalls that women can be more susceptible to, and deliberate on best practices in supporting and advocating for each other.
