Event description
The pharmaceutical industry has undergone significant restructuring within the past few years. This has been driven by major changes in the regulatory, healthcare business environments and economic challenges surrounding the industry. Many of the major companies have struggled to increase the output of their internal drug development programs and have used mergers and acquisitions as a means of re-invigorating their product pipeline in home and global markets. Recent 2015/2016 mergers and acquisitions has allowed for the formation of new and dynamic entrants into the pharma arena. This event will focus on several areas including asset transfers, best practices and new players/entrants.
