HBA ST. LOUIS PRESENTS

Moving the Needle for Women: Together We Can Change the World with Rayona Sharpnack

Event details
Companies with a higher proportion of women in leadership positions are on average 48% more profitable and show a 37% higher return on equity. The percentage of women in the executive suite and the boardroom has not changed significantly in over a decade. From 2001 to 2011, for example, the percentage of female corporate officers in Fortune 500 companies inched up just two percentage points — from 12% to 14%. That's two percent in ten years. Equally disappointing, they earned 13-25% less than their male counterparts. Come join the conversation on how to move the needle and learn how to work collaboratively throughout your company to advance your partnerships across gender lines.

Learning objectives
1. Learn about second-generation bias and how companies are missing financial opportunities.
2. Discover why it is critical to gain support and consensus from male leaders to advance your career.
3. Learn how to initiate the dialogue and help others help you advance your career.
4. Expand your network with senior healthcare professionals in St. Louis area.
