Webinar details
How do you anticipate and respond to change in today’s rapidly shifting business environment? Do you resist it? Rise to the challenge? Become paralyzed with fear? Even change that creates a less-than-ideal environment can offer an opportunity to develop and showcase your talents. Join us to learn how to survive and even thrive in the midst of uncertainty while coping with the attendant stress.
HBA is pleased to welcome business psychologist Sharon Melnick, PhD, to this conversation. Dr. Melnick is author of Success under Stress: Powerful Tools for Staying Calm, Confident, and Productive When the Pressure’s On. Her methods are informed by 10 years of research at Harvard Medical School, sharpened by training in cutting-edge stress resilience techniques, and field tested by more than 10,000 clients and training participants. In 2013, Dr. Melnick conducted a workshop on resilient leadership at the HBA Leadership Conference; this top-rated session is being brought back for an encore presentation at this year’s conference.
Joining Dr. Melnick is Meryl Zausner, the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation in the United States (US) and a member of the Pharmaceutical Executive Committee and Global Finance Leadership Team. Ms. Zausner will share stories from her career journey around the issue of change and the challenges and opportunities it can offer.. She was a a founding member of the Novartis Pharmaceuticals Global Diversity Council (which she chaired in 2006 and 2007), and of the US EWIN (Empowering Women to Impact Novartis) Initiative. In 2007, Ms. Zausner was named HBA Woman of the Year. She was a featured presenter in HBA’s Leadership in Practice program (2012) and currently serves on the HBA Advisory Board.
Moderating this conversation is Anne Camille Talley. A frequent presenter on leadership-related topics, she is Principal of Health Leaders Consultancy. Ms. Talley is author or co-author of all four HBA studies about the advancement of women’s careers and has served two terms on the HBA Board; she will be leading a career-oriented workshop at HBA’s 2014 conference. In 2008, Ms. Talley was honored with the HBA STAR (Strategic Transformation Achievement Recognition) Award.
