Executive Coffee Chat with Laura Comilla

With more than 20 years of experience transforming laboratories, Laura Comilla has collaborated with over 200 labs across the world to assist clients transform their laboratory operations.

She has worked in diverse environments from scaling rural African Laboratories to expanding services in advanced Molecular/Genetics laboratories. Her experience in designing and implementing sustainable solutions include consolidation, automation and new technology selection. To ensure sustainability within an organization, Laura focuses her clients on developing training programs, lean programs and implementing change management to equip organizations with a continuous improvement mindset.

Laura studied Biochemistry and Biotechnology at Michigan State University and completed her master’s degree in chemistry from DePaul University in Chicago. She is certified in Operational Excellence from the American Society of Quality and Prosci Change Management certified. She is an active member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. Laura actively mentors undergraduates from her alma mater, at Siemens Healthineers, and within HBA.

Laura is going to speak with us today on her journey and lessons in attaining a board role.

HBA's Executive Coffee Chats is a new program catered toward our senior members, which offers more intimate and focused conversation with others who are similarly senior in their career. It is members-only and limited in attendance.
