Webinar Series: The Virtual Worker: Visibility and Working with Teams

New in 2020 HBA is offering Web Classes. Each web class includes a 20-30-minute video available on demand, resources and assignments followed by a live 30-minute Q&A webinar 2-3 weeks after the release of the video on demand.

Our first web class in this series is Virtual Worker: Make Yourself Visible in Virtual Work Part 1 & 2. Followed by the second class in the series Building Trust with a Co-located AND Virtual Team Part 3 & 4.

PART 1: Make Yourself Visible in Virtual Work with Cassie Holt, PhD, MPH, CPH - 9 March 2020
The first web class in the Virtual Worker four-part series is a 20-30 minute on-demand video, available on 9 March 2020 that focuses on best practices for making yourself visible in a field or home-based role. Cassie Holt, PhD, MPH, CPH, will discuss how remaining visible provides new project and promotion opportunities to propel your career forward. In addition, Cassie will present how best to select aspects of yourself and your work to make visible to your team and how to identify the key influencers to further establish and broadcast your unique strengths. The on-demand video will task listeners with a few options for homework to test what they learned. This web class will prepare participants with the fundamentals in virtual worker visibility, allow time to practice in the real-world.

PART 2: Live 30-minute Q&A with Dr. Holt - 26 March 2020 from 12:00-12:30 PM

PART 3: Building Trust with a Co-located AND Virtual Team with Tara Powers, MS, CEO, Powers Resource Center and Author Virtual Teams for dummies - 20 April 2020
The second web class in the series is a 20-30 minute on-demand video available on 20 April 2020. Topics include: What makes it difficult and five strategies to focus on that keep the relationship strong. Tara will explain 1-2 tools that virtual leaders can take back to their teams and do together.
