HBA SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PRESENTS

HBA Supper Club: "MBA and PhD - Three Letters that Mean What?" with Erik Smith

We’ll share experiences and observations about educational credentials in today’s and tomorrow’s healthcare and life sciences workplaces. Some questions to get our discussion going will include, What similarities and differences are there between skills and career opportunities for those with MBAs vs. those with PhDs? Which type of training is most beneficial for a career in healthcare and life sciences? Are there tradeoffs? Is it worth having both? How/does this differ between generations? How/does this differ across gender?

Your host for this event will be Erik D. Smith, PhD, principal with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy Practice. Erik is Deloitte’s current Bay Area champion for strategy and operations, and former lead for strategy in the Bay Area. Erik also serves on the HBA San Francisco advisory board.

Registration fee covers administrative and chapter costs. Attendees must cover the cost of their food and beverage.
