HBA SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PRESENTS

Mindfulness and Consciousness: New Tools for the 21st Century Leader

Event description
As our lives become increasingly busy and our propensity to be more and more connected through digital advancements grows, mindfulness is quickly becoming a necessary tool to mitigate stress. This tool also raises consciousness or self-awareness, which is an essential trait for continuous self-development. To help leaders better understand and expand their own consciousness, the energy leadership index assessment was developed. It gives individuals access to and accountability for their beliefs, their behaviors and their blind spots. This information empowers leaders to make desired behavior changes to align with their definition of success.

Learning objectives
1. Practice mindfulness techniques that will help reduce stress and enhance innovation and performance
2. Self-assess the role that consciousness plays on their leadership capacity after reviewing the energy leadership index
3. Develop self-awareness about the impact that the seven energy levels have on work: daily tasks and relationships
