HBA OLD CHICAGO PRESENTS

Patient Centricity in the SHEconomy

Event details
Carolyn Buck Luce, HBA 2012 WOTY, will be giving us a "sneak preview" of the early findings from the research project that she is spearheading for the Center for Talent Innovation, entitled "The Power of the Purse: The implications of the SHEconomy on the business and talent models of health care companies". As companies attempt to "operationalize" the shift from their product/disease-centric model to truly putting the customer and the patient at the center, it is necessary to understand who she is, what she wants, and how to increase her trust and confidence in the message and the messenger. After Carolyn shares some early findings from her research, Brian Goff, global franchise head for hemophilia, Baxter International, and HBA 2014 Honorable Mentor will discuss this research and how and what corporations can do to leverage this power, executive leadership, men, staffing models and BRG's. Carolyn and Brian will then kick off a conversation that explores how other industries can embrace the SHEconomy, the role of women's networks in driving external engagement and the steps that companies can take to really move the needle on leveraging female talent.

Learning objectives
1. Implications of the power of the SHEconomy
2. How industries can embrace this shift on the business and talent models
3. The shift from product/disease-centric model to truly putting the customer and patient first
4. Outside of healthcare - what can we learn from other industries?
