Join your fellow HBA Austin members for a self-defense and networking session. Learn techniques, drills and skills that can be easily practiced in three steps. No experience required. Open to all skill levels.
This S.E.L.F. defense program is designed to be simple, effective, live and for everyone:
S - Simple: Anything that is complicated just won't work under stress. These are techniques, drills and skills that can easily be practiced in three steps or less.
E - Effective: These techniques are common in multiple systems across the world from each other. Let’s face it, if it worked in all these different environments, then it was and still is effective.
L - Live: Going live while training is the most important part of your growth. You cannot sharpen your skills without problem to solution training. You need someone to resist you as if it is real so you can connect the dots with each of your techniques. This is the fastest way to grow your abilities.
F - For everyone: This program is for students of all ages and skill levels. The techniques and training are fun to learn which keeps everyone hungry for more. Best of all, you can train this series at any speed and at any level.

Special instructions: Located above La Hacienda grocery store. Park behind the building. Overflow parking is in front of building or in church parking lot next door.

Photography Policy
By registering for this event, you acknowledge that you may be photographed, videotaped, and/or audio-taped during the meeting and hereby give permission for your image, voice, or survey comments to be used in education, training, promotion, and/or trade and communications media by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association in any and all media throughout the world, without restriction as to frequency or duration of usage.
COVID-19 Policy
The HBA requires that all persons who participate in in-person events do so at their own risk and that each participant agrees to the following agreement before taking part in the activity and urges all participants to act in such a manner as to protect their own safety and the safety of others.
By registering for this event, I fully understand that my participation in the program is purely voluntary. I desire to participate and agree to act reasonably and prudently under the circumstances. I further understand that any HBA volunteers participating in the activity will act individually and will not represent the HBA. As a condition to my participation the activity, I waive and release the HBA and their officers, employees, and agents from any claim that I may have for any damage to property or injury to my person that may result in whole or in part from my participation.
