HBA Supper Club: How to Approach Courageous Career Moves with Gisela Paulsen

This event has reached capacity and is now offering a wait list registration. This wait list does not confirm your attendance. In the event that a registrant cancels their attendance for this event, you will be notified by the chapter representative for the HB8 dinner program via email. The wait list is managed on a first-come, first-served basis. Any participant who is moved from the wait list to a confirmed attendee will still be responsible for their event costs, which will be administered by the chapter at the time of the event.

Gisela Paulsen is a biopharmaceutical executive managing strategic and operations challenges at Genentech and Roche. She has a passion for leading people-focused agile change management and derives great satisfaction from building diverse teams and focusing on people engagement with the goals of driving business value beyond profit. She joined Genentech in 2005 and is currently senior vice president, global head, product development, clinical operations where she is responsible for oversight of clinical operations for Roche Product Development.

A champion of diversity and inclusion, she was a founding officer of Genentech Women Professionals (GWP) in 2009, GWP co-chair in 2009 - 2011. She was a 2010 HBA Rising Star, the 2016 HBA council of chapters’ president of the year and received the HBA Leadership Excellence and Dedication Award in 2017. She served as the 2016 HBA San Francisco president and has held various board positions. She is also a recipient of the 2014 Professional Businesswomen of California (PBWC) Industry Leader Award. She is a trustee of CuriOdyssey, a museum for environmental and STEM education; and experiential science for Bay Area children and families.

Registration fee covers administrative and chapter costs. Participants are responsible for their food and beverage costs. Out of respect for your fellow diners, please do your best to arrive on time.
