HBA KANSAS CITY PRESENTS

From Ladders to Lattices: Thriving in the Evolving World of Healthcare Leadership

The nature of work is ever changing—but many healthcare businesses still cling to the one-size-fits-all corporate ladder model. Join HBA Kansas City and BioKansas for an informational program featuring Carol Wells, Senior Director of Commercial, Medical and Government Affairs Training & Development at Genentech, on the evolving world of work and leadership in healthcare. Carol will address new ways that healthcare and life science companies can keep pace with today's rapid rate of change and skills needed to rise in the healthcare business.

Participants will also hear from an integrative panel of local healthcare leaders with ways to encourage employees to contribute to workplace innovation regardless of their level on the organizational chart. Topics to be addressed include:
• Fostering transparency
• Collaboration in a network-like fashion
• Rise of nonroutine and project-based work
• Working across invisible borders & virtual teams

A light dinner will be provided.
