HBA NY TRI-STATE REGION PRESENTS

Fall Networking Hike in Harriman State Park

IMPORTANT: The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) requires that all persons who participate in in-person events do so at their own risk and that each participant agrees to the following agreement prior to taking part in the activity and urges all participants to act in such a manner as to protect their own safety and the safety of others.

By registering for this event, I fully understand that my participation in the program is purely voluntary. I desire to participate and agree to act in a reasonable and prudent manner under the circumstances. I further understand that any HBA volunteers participating in the activity will be acting in an individual capacity only and will not represent the HBA. As a condition to my participation in the activity, I waive and release the HBA and their officers, employees, and agents from any claim that I may have for any damage to property or injury to my person that may result in whole or in part from my participation.

A relatively laid back 5 mile hike to Lake Skenonto is perfect for newer hikers or those looking for a relaxed day. Note: there are a few rocky and uphill parts but overall this is a tame hike.

For more information, including a map of the trail, visit the following link.

Agenda
10:30 AM Meet at trailhead and introductions
10:45 AM Begin hike
12:00/12:30 PM Stop for lunch
1:45/2:00 PM End hike and say goodbye or spend time in Tuxedo, NY

Getting there by Train:
Take NJ Transit from Penn Station to Tuxedo Station: Take the 9:07AM train towards Long Branch from New York Penn Station. Transfer in Secaucus (about 9 minutes) and board the 9:25AM train toward Port Jervis. Get off at Tuxedo Station (46 minutes). We’ll meet at the rail station and walk about ½ mile to the trailhead to begin our hike. The rail station is about a 1/2 mile walk from the trailhead and will be marked on your NYNJTC map as "red". Basically you will need to walk North from the Train Station to find E. Village Road. Turn right on E. Village Road until it intersects with Grove Street. Grove will take you North to the Trailhead (also marked with red).

There is a return train at 4:20PM. For those taking the train, we’ll have some time to spend in Tuxedo and can grab a coffee or pizza nearby following our hike!

Getting there by Car:
There is a parking lot is across the street from the trailhead and there is also overflow parking alongside the road. Put the following address in Google maps to get to the trailhead: 1206-1340 County Rd 106, Southfields, NY 10975, USA.
