HBA SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PRESENTS

HB8 Supper Club - Table Talk with Elizabeth Jeffords

Having the opportunity to live and work in different countries, with teams from around the globe, brings unique challenges, and also wonderful opportunities for growth. Every geography represents a cultural underpinning, the organization yet another layer, and the team another layer still. And in 2020, many of us had the opportunity to add one additional layer- adding in the culture of our homes. We'll discuss how to celebrate multicultural diversity, and also practically how to navigate the changes and challenges the differences in culture bring. And perhaps most importantly, we'll discuss what these challenges and changes can teach us about ourselves. This will be an open discussion, useful particularly for those considering living and working in another country or with a team in a different country. Ms. Jeffords will share her experiences living and working in 4 countries and her kitchen, and lead a broad and interactive discussion on the topic.
