HBA LONDON AND HBA EUROPE REGION PRESENTS

Balancing Demands and Maintaining Growth in a Virtual World

This year we have found ourselves in a changed and unusual world and the pressures of balancing work and personal / family life, which were always challenging, have become more so as the boundaries between them have been blurred. This event will look at the ‘new normal’ situation we find ourselves in, addressing the unique challenges we are facing and finding solutions to bring balance and harmony back into our lives.

Despite the challenges that COVID-19 has brought, it has also driven new working practices and mindsets in leaders and employees, that can be a catalyst for organisations to accelerate their pursuit of inclusive cultures and equality. Deborah croft will dive into the opportunities for new ways of working and skill building, providing expertise on how each of us needs to drive our own career development.

Topics covered will include:
Balancing Career and Home (Emily Thorpe)
• Finding more time and getting more organised.
• Avoiding parental/carer guilt whilst juggling work and family.
• Ensuring balance through quality time and boundaries.
• Prioritizing self-care and well being

Learning from Lockdown and Maintaining Career Momentum (Deborah Croft)

• Reflecting on lessons learned during lockdown
• Maintaining career progression in new working environment
