Mindful Miles: Every step supports mental health & suicide prevention awareness
Mindful Miles: Every Step Supports Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Awareness. The event will take place at Annie Jones Greenway in Cary, NC, a scenic wooded greenway featuring paved trails suitable for walking, running, and strollers. The greenway is approximately 1.2 miles in length and offers a peaceful natural setting for reflection, conversation, and community connection.
Join us for Mindful Miles, a community wellness walk at the beautiful Annie Jones Greenway in Cary as we come together for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. This uplifting event offers an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with colleagues and friends, and support a cause that impacts so many lives. As we walk, we'll raise awareness about mental health, encourage meaningful conversations, and help break the stigma surrounding suicide and mental well-being. Whether you walk the entire route or simply join for fellowship and reflection, your presence helps demonstrate that no one has to walk their journey alone. Lace up your sneakers and take a step toward hope, connection, and a healthier, more supportive community.
The HBA advances leaders in healthcare by building communities of connection and support. This event activity, Mindful Miles, embodies this mission, bringing HBA members & non members together to prioritize mental health and well-being while breaking stigma around mental health conversations. The walk strengthens the peer relationships that sustain our members’ careers and demonstrates our commitment to supporting the whole person, not just the professional.
