HBA TAMPA PRESENTS

Authentic Networking: Building Real Relationships that Matter

Networking often feels forced and ineffective—but the most meaningful opportunities in healthcare don’t come from working the room. They come from genuine relationships built on trust, connection, and mutual advocacy. In this interactive, one-hour session, Julie Meyer will share practical, no‑nonsense strategies for building authentic professional relationships using your natural strengths. Participants will learn how to identify the right people, start conversations that feel natural rather than transactional, and nurture connections that create long-term value.

This session is ideal for professionals early in their careers building a network from scratch, mid-career leaders ready to reengage an underutilized network, or those approaching a new chapter and reconnecting strategically with the people who matter most.

Julie Meyer is the Partnership Lead at The Scarlet Institute and a serial entrepreneur focused on the power of authentic connection. She has founded and scaled multiple ventures, including Eat Well Global, AugMentors, and Connection151, and teaches entrepreneurship at Northeastern University. Julie also chairs the advisory board for Babson College’s Frank & Eileen Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership, helping leaders build meaningful partnerships and lasting impact.

This session is for professionals who are:

- Early in their career and learning how to build authentic connections from scratch
- Mid-career and ready to activate a dormant or underutilized network
- Approaching their next chapter and reconnecting strategically with the people who matter most
