HBA's Executive Coffee Chats is a new program catered toward our senior members, which offers more intimate and focused conversation with others who are similarly senior in their career. It is members-only and limited in attendance.
Nicole Richie is a clinical development professional with 15 years of translational and clinical research experience. As the Global Head of Health Equity and Population Science in Product Development, she is responsible for leading the vision and developing strategies to broaden scientifically driven representation of understudied populations in clinical research, development, and personalized healthcare to enrich science and advance health equity.
Her leadership has been recognized by PharmaVoice Top 100 Most Inspiring People in Life Sciences Industry for 2020 and Life Science Voices Top Industry Leaders in 2021. She has been an invited speaker and expert panelist for events, including Congressional Hispanic Caucus Annual Legislative Event, National Minority Quality Forum Summit on Health Disparities.
In addition to the above, Nicole has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in translational medicine and clinical research across therapeutic areas. Her work is focused on strategies associated with enhancing inclusion of racial and ethnic minorities in clinical cancer research has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and holds patent application on methods for treating cancer with combination therapy. She is also the Product Development Lead and co-founder of Genentech/Roche's Advancing Inclusive Research Program focused on addressing disparities in clinical research.
Nicole serves on the Board of advisors for Women of Color in Pharma. Member of Genentech's Advancing Inclusive Research External Council and as Board member for Genentech's "The Resilience Effect," which is committed to addressing effects of childhood traumas, such as violence and structural racism, on long-term health.
