HBA DENVER PRESENTS

Man-bassador 2.0 - Men as our Allies

An inclusive work force is foundational to a culture where all colleagues are seen, heard and cared for. Men play a crucial role in creating this environment.
Our guest speakers:

- Joe Newell, Atara Biotherapeutics, EVP Chief Operations Officer
- Alex Flecker, Pfizer, Senior Director / Team Leader - National Accounts, Pfizer Oncology
- Kapil Vashistha, DaVita Kidney Care, Group Vice President

Women have made great strides towards achieving equality of opportunity and representation, particularly in the workplace. However, there is still a need to accelerate their continuing under-representation in positions of leadership and higher responsibility. The Denver HBA Chapter is excited to provide a panel of male leaders within their respective organizations who are embracing and empowering women to become leaders. As organizations strive to establish equality in the workplace, one thing is clear: creating gender equity needs more than structural alterations - it requires a change in mindset, attitude and culture.

Join us as our panel of male leaders provide their ideas and perspective on how they help women in their organizations reach their full potential and thrive within the workplace. These panelists will highlight how they advocate, open their networks and provide mentorship to recognize, support and develop the full potential of their female talent. Some areas they will focus on are why ally-ship is important, how women can teach men how to be an ally, and how they see corporate America adjusting to a post Covid/pandemic environment and how that may impact women.
