HBA OLD EUROPE PRESENTS

Healthcare Supporting Healthy Lifestyles

Event description
The pharmaceutical industry mission is to make a difference in the lives of patients. Nowadays it is time for it to go "beyond the pill" and see what else can be done in addition to the achievements gained through the discovery and use of medicines. Healthcare today is undergoing radical transformation, shaping the way medicine is developed, delivered and consumed. Digital technologies are fueling innovation and change. Digital health is the integration of the digital world and the healthcare world. People who have any type of health conditions are given more than just a bottle with pills inside; in addition or even instead of it they are provided with services that deliver proactive and personalized approaches to patient’s journey. Such new offerings include telehealth services, health mobile apps and wellness program.

At this event we will see how the advent of technology and, in particular, mobile apps could have a deep impact both on individuals and companies employees, contributing to healthier lifestyles and consequently on more health and satisfaction.

A special focus will be then put on how companies, also applying health and well-being apps, will be able to exploit digital technology to increase employees' satisfaction and how the same could take advantage of a more satisfying working environment to boost their reputation.

We will finally have the opportunity to learn more from the best practice already developed and applied with these purposes by Novartis Italy. Since 2013 the company participates in the GCC (Global Corporate Challenge): seven participants per team, one pedometer for participant, at least 10,000 steps per day, an app. Numbers demonstrate that this has been a very successful initiative both for the individuals and for the company.

Learning objectives
1. Listen to how technology can have a deep impact both on individuals and on professional environments
2. Develop and understanding on how mobile apps relate to health and well-being can drive and change lifestyles
3. Discover how industry can leverage digital technology to increase employees' satisfaction and companies' reputation
