It is, however, well documented that gender inequality still exists. With the fairly low numbers of women holding leadership roles within the overall pharma/biotech space, some argue that a larger divide exists within the healthcare industry than in other sectors. As a result, a focus on gender diversity has become a hot topic, and how to incorporate initiatives to confront gender parity are of utmost interest and importance.
