Event Details
Workplaces are highly politicized competitive environments where key decisions about who gets ahead, who gets plum assignments and who gets scarce resources are not based on talent or hard work alone.  The higher you go, the more competitive it gets. Even though women are great at building relationships, they often miss out on many opportunities because of their hesitancy to see networking as a leadership skill and one that is critical for their advancement. Cultivating relationships and mobilizing them on their behalf is a key exercise in leadership. Learning how to identify the decision makers and influencers in your organization and building relationships of trust and confidence are necessary in order to successfully navigate the workplace and advance your career.

Learning Objectives
1. Navigate the power network in your workplace
2. Avoid the workplace landmines
3. Build relationships of trust and influence
