Bridging Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap: What Life Sciences Industry Can Do To Reduce Pay Disparity

According to World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2017, it will take 217 years to close the gender pay gap. Questions remain on how much we know about gender parity in life sciences industry and what healthcare organisations can do to accelerate and bridge both gender and ethnicity pay gaps. The gender pay gap is now on the D&I agenda of many pharma companies and the latest gender pay gap data shines a light on where they life sciences industry stands and what they are doing to change things. But there is one pay gap that life sciences industry do not often talk about: the ethnicity pay gap. Although there is a lack of data on ethnicity pay gap there are calls on government to make firms publish data on wages based on ethnicity.
