Webinar - Understanding and Appreciating Difference: A Deeper Look at Mentoring and Diversity

Please note this webinar will take place from 12:00 – 1:00 PM ET. Please convert into your local time zone and mark your calendar accordingly.

Join international mentoring expert Dr. Lois Zachary and her colleague Lisa Fain as they explore how to leverage the power of mentoring to better understand and appreciate difference, whether from a generational, gender or cultural perspective. The importance of being able to bring your true self to work and develop authentic relationships with others who are different from you is gaining increasing awareness as a foundation for respect, trust and communication. Diverse teams deliver better business results, and mentoring can be leveraged to accelerate a deeper appreciation of diversity and the benefits it brings to both teams and organizations.

Dr. Zachary’s first book on mentoring, The Mentor's Guide, was published in 2000 and has since has become the primary resource for organizations interested in promoting mentoring for leadership and learning and for mentors seeking to deepen their mentoring practice. Along with a revised edition (2012) of that classic, her other best-selling books include Creating A Mentoring Culture (2005) and The Mentee's Guide (2009). Her most recently published book is Starting Strong: A Mentoring Fable, which she wrote with Lory Fischler.
