CANCELLED: Virtual Care, Real Results: Mixed Reality in Healthcare Space

When you hear mixed reality your mind probably first goes to gaming and entertainment, whether it is chasing characters in Pokemon Go or putting on a headset and immersing yourself in an imaginary world.

What you may not realize is that the enjoyable, interactive nature of mixed reality can provide tangible tools for healthcare.
In this presentation, Dr. Marcie Stoshak-Chavez and Carmen Fontana will share two case studies that demonstrate how mixed reality can improve patient outcomes:
1. Virtual Reality as a mechanism to improve geriatric emotional therapy
2. Augmented Reality as a tool to augment pediatric physical therapy
