Earlier this year, the WoC Affinity group hosted intimate conversations, known as Supper Clubs, with key leaders to celebrate Black History and International Women’s Month.
The Supper Clubs provide a safe haven for important conversations for our leaders. Past conversations have been around “Being a Change Agent”, “From Challenge Comes Change, so let’s all choose to challenge” and “How can we get to the top of the corporate ladder with a broken rung?”
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, the WoC Affinity group, along with corporate sponsor, CSL Bering will host a Supper Club, tackling the conversation about colorism and intersectionality in the Hispanic community.
Some Latinos identify as white. And about a quarter of Latinos in the United States identify as Afro-Latino, Afro-Caribbean or of African descent with roots in Latin America, according to the Pew Research Center. (CNN) and Only 3% of leaders at the executive level are Latinx, disproportionately lower than their share of the US population, at 18%. (wearehue.org)
Please join us as two phenomenal Afro-latina leaders, CSL Bering’s Kenia Rincon and Amgen’s Vanessa Nortey share their experiences to create awareness and inspire others.
