COVID-19 Impact on Women: HBA Members Surveyed during the Pandemic

COVID-19 pandemic is a historical event that has had wide-ranging effects on everyone worldwide. The consequences and impact of this pandemic on individuals, families, and society at large are remarkable and will affect lives forever. While work-life balance is plausible to some extent under normal circumstances and work environment, working from home while children attend schools remotely creates unique and unforeseen challenges for parents and particularly mothers. An HBA survey was conducted to assess the pandemic consequences and impact on women with a focus on women's roles as care-givers and partners responsible for their household, and their personal career aspirations. The findings from this survey in the areas of education, relationships and work-life balance will be discussed by a panel of experts.
