When Sally Kempton, a world-renowned meditation guru said, “It is hard to fight an enemy who has outposts in your head,” she could have been describing the often invisible and unspoken challenge facing healthcare business professionals, that of their own thinking. While thinking biases and other thinking pitfalls have been the subject of scientists and philosophers’ musings for centuries, now more than ever, it’s imperative for individuals and teams in the biopharmaceutical industry to employ strong critical thinking skills to overcome these barriers to drive success. In this session, attendees will experience and explore thinking biases and errors, define critical thinking and analyze key actions to think more critically with the goal of empowering them to drive business results, manage teams and help more patients.
