Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification
Mental health challenges affect every workplace and community, yet many of us aren't sure how to respond when someone needs help. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based, nationally recognized certification that teaches participants how to recognize the signs of mental health and substance use challenges, initiate supportive conversations, and connect individuals with appropriate professional resources.
Often compared to CPR for mental health, MHFA equips participants with practical, real-world skills—not to diagnose or provide treatment—but to offer initial support until appropriate help is available. Through engaging discussions, interactive activities, and realistic scenarios, participants will build the confidence to respond compassionately and effectively in a variety of situations.
This virtual certification program includes required pre-work, two live certified MHFA instructors, two instructor-led sessions, course material, and a three-year Mental Health First Aid certification issued by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Whether you lead a team, work with patients or customers, volunteer in your community, or simply want to better support those around you, this training provides valuable skills you can use every day.

Additional Event Information
- This course spans over two half-days, September 29th & September 30th, plus requires 2 hours of pre-work to be completed before start of class. Pre-work will be sent to the participants by the trainers by Sept 15th. Registrants will not be able to take the course if pre-work is not completed and submitted.
- Participant names & emails will be shared with the trainers to enable them to send out the pre-work & virtual meeting link.
