Join Dr. Kathryn Becker for an insightful conversation on the key factors to consider before making your next career move. She’ll cover how to approach leadership about a potential promotion, ways to demonstrate your value and impact within your organization, and how to weigh in-line promotions against opportunities outside of your immediate group. Dr. Becker will also break down how to address salary increases, including understanding salary bands and ranges—and how to equip yourself with the right information to advocate confidently for your growth.

About the Speaker: Kathryn Becker, Abbott’s Sr. Director, Licensing, Acquisitions and Ventures, is responsible for business development activities for all of Abbott’s diagnostics businesses. Throughout her 20+ year tenure at Abbott she has held various roles with Abbott’s Molecular business including Director Global Scientific Affairs, Innovation, Head of CDx development, Franchise Director, Oncology and Companion Diagnostics and Global Marketing Director of the oncology, genetics and automation product lines.

Before joining Abbott in 2004, Dr. Becker worked in multiple management roles at Applied Biosystems. Dr. Becker received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, M.S in Biology and Ph.D. in Biology focused in Neuroendocrinology from Northern Illinois University. After her degree completion at Northern Illinois University, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow and instructor at Dartmouth Medical School from 1993‐1996. Dr. Becker is currently volunteering as the President of North American Operating Board of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association more than 1500 members, focused on personal development and healthcare industry trends. She also is a board observer for multiple start up companies including PrognomiQ, ClearLabs and Codetta Bio.
