HBA INDIANAPOLIS PRESENTS

Communicating Effectively -- Creating Dialogue -- Part III

Giving presentations can be challenging, and in a hybrid or fully virtual work setting, it may never have been more difficult to capture and keep an audience’s attention. You can't read your remote coworkers body language like you previously could in a conference room or auditorium, and whatever email, text message, tweet, or LinkedIn notification pops up on their screen can pull them away from your presentation.

If your information is too important to be lost to this “noise,” please join Chris Hill, Ph.D., and Meridith Grundei, MFA, two instructors from Hillside Communications, and let them show you how simple it is to make you and your presentations simply unforgettable.

In three interactive, 60-minute sessions that can be purchased individually or as a series, Chris and Meridith will share what Hillside has learned working with over 30,000 scientific and medical presenters worldwide. We will take you through every critical step in planning and delivering engaging learning experiences for your audiences, online or in-person.

Session I – Owning your Story – May 5, 12-1pm EST
- Making your messages memorable: The power of narrative
- The four steps to preparing a compelling presentation

Session II - Telling Your Story – May 12, 12-1pm EST
- Projecting confidence and credibility: The critical non-verbal behaviors; online or in-person
- Making Slides Matter: Managing the audience’s attention as you share complex visual content
- Virtually Speaking: Setting up for success

Session III – Creating dialogue – May 17, 12-1pm EST
- Starting strong: Mastering the interactive introduction
- Lecturing to listening: Leading audience engagement

Meridith Grundei is a New York-based Senior Instructor for Hillside Communications, where she has helped hundreds of medical professionals tell their stories, both globally and domestically. Meridith is also the owner of Grundei Coaching, LLC and is on a mission to level up your career by making you a practical, compelling, and engaging speaker and educator who can connect with any audience. She specializes in presentation and public speaking consultation, individual training and development, and creative team solutions using improvisational theatre techniques to build trust, empathy, and out-of-the-box thinking. She is an award-winning theatre director, producer, and former Second City improv teacher. She recognized the similarities between performing on stage every night and presenting to clients/colleagues every day. Still, the latter didn’t have the right tools to bring their stories to life. So, she decided to do something about it. Eleven years later, Meridith has helped thousands of individuals and corporations worldwide achieve career growth and success.
