HBA PACIFIC REGION PRESENTS

Sh*t Happens to Me Too: The Pause Between the Hustle

Let’s be real—leadership isn’t all polished keynotes and LinkedIn wins. It’s also anxiety before big decisions, burnout behind the scenes, and the quiet weight of trying to hold it all together. This session cracks open the myth that leaders have it all figured out and invites a new kind of conversation—one where vulnerability is strength and mental health is part of the leadership toolkit.

Join us for a raw, honest, and empowering session with MindShare Partners, a nonprofit on a mission to redefine how work gets done by making mental health and well-being a foundation of organizational success.

Through storytelling, data, and practical tools, we’ll explore how team members and managers can show up authentically, support each other meaningfully, and lay the tracks for sustainable, healthy ways to lead.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Normalize the conversation around mental health in the workplace by learning how to share your story—authentically, responsibly, and with confidence
  • Identify the impact of leadership behaviors on team mental health—what adds to it, and what takes away.
  • Practice tools and language to support team members through mental health challenges without overstepping.
  • Challenge the myth that success means being unaffected—learn how to lead while navigating your own mental health journey.Build psychological safety by modeling openness and creating space for others to do the same.

Through research, training, and strategic advising, MindShare helps organizations and leaders:

  • Start meaningful conversations about mental health.
  • Equip managers with tools to support their teams.
  • Create cultures where people can show up as they are—and thrive.
  • They work with companies across industries and levels, always aiming to reach the top of the leadership chain—because when leaders speak up, others feel safe to do the same.

  1. Practice tools and language to support team members through mental health challenges
