Wie viele Geschlechter gibt es?
In der Schule wurde uns gelehrt, dass die chromosomale Kombination XX für weiblich und XY für männlich steht - aktuell sind allerdings mehrere dutzend Geschlechter auf chromosomaler Ebene (z.B. XXY) bekannt. Und was ist, wenn sich jemand anders fühlt als er/sie per Definition festgelegt ist und dies konkrete Auswirkungen auf das persönliche Wohlbefinden hat?
Die vermehrte Nutzung von Sternchen, Binde-, Unter- oder Schrägstriche ist einigen in diesem Zusammenhang bestimmt aufgefallen. Was wir hier beobachten, ist der Versuch, Diskriminierung in der deutschen Sprache zu vermeiden. Die Frage nach Lieblingshelden wird unter Umständen anders beantwortet als die Frage nach Lieblingspersonen; ist das generische Maskulinum ein geeigneter Weg um Diskriminierung zu vermeiden?
Durch Sprache drücken wir aus, was wir fühlen, meinen und denken. Sprache entwickelt sich mit unserem Verständnis weiter und es ist an uns, Lösungen zu finden.
Welche sprachlichen Mittel und Wege gibt es beim Gendern?
Kann uns die Veränderung der Sprache und des geschriebenen Wortes weiter bringen bei der übergeordneten Betrachtung von Geschlechtern?
Was meint eigentlich nicht-binär oder trans in diesem Zusammenhang?
Wie geht es Betroffenen und welchen Herausforderungen müssen diese sich stellen?
