HBA LONDON PRESENTS

Leading Remotely

Registration for this webinar is a brief, two-step process. Once you’ve completed your registration here, you will receive an email with instructions on how to receive the link for the webinar.

Remote working, whether chosen or forced, has pros and cons for the company, manager and worker. Based on 6 years' experience of managing remote programmers, while working remotely, Caroline gives guidance on issues to be considered for the remote worker and manager. Technical challenges of IT and home office set up will be covered, but the main focus is on the management and day to day challenges. Caroline will cover the type of candidates who are most suitable to working remotely and suggestions for the interview and onboarding process. Strategies are needed to get to know your remote worker to start to build a good rapport. Close oversight of their work and projects is required so that you can learn to trust in their abilities and motivation. Some adaptations needed for the current enforced home working are covered along with some hints and tips on balancing home and work.
