HBA CHARLOTTE PRESENTS

Relationships: They Matter (Despite COVID-19!)

Our careers have all likely evolved with the involvement of others. Those around us influence what we learn, how we do things and where we go. They have been critical pieces of our success and direction.

We all know relationships are critical in many ways. And we know there is value in building and deepening them. But it's hard to do that when we are juggling multiple high priorities and we feel like we are wearing handcuffs with a quarantine on top of it all. But unless we want to remain stagnant, we have to make these relationships a priority and find a way to meet this need. Recognizing this power is within us (and us only!), it is important to take a step back to assess our direction and how we want things to look in the coming months and years. Our intentions create our outcomes.

Join us for a conversation that will allow us to turn our intentions into actions. The session will start with Life Transition Coach, Jodi Hummer walking us through effective networking techniques and a personalized plan to achieve our individual goals. Then we'll present a case study of the career progression of the COO of Charlotte Radiology, Cheryl Marks. Her former boss, President of Trillium Community Health Plan/Health Net - Oregon, Chris Hummer and she will discuss the power of relationships and how their partnership and intentions over their 12 year tenure together at Atrium Health led to Cheryl's career success.
