Disruptive Power of Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Patients and Consumers

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is called one of the biggest disruptive and potentially impactful technologies in healthcare. Researchers are using AI in drug discovery and preclinical drug development to improve predictive models with the potential to revolutionize the time it takes to bring a drug to market. It also had potential to improve patient outcomes and the overall patient experience.

This HBA event features an impressive and multi-dimensional panel of curious and enthusiastic Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry leaders from diverse backgrounds –including Pharma R&D, Consumer Healthcare and Technology and Academics. Edward Bowen and Nakul Vyas will talk the about the AI transformation journey at GlaxoSmithKline. Brian Charles, the Head Learning Facilitator for MIT Sloan School of Business and MIT CSAIL courses on AI, ML (Machine Learning) and IoT (Internet of Things) will address the implications of AI and ML and the pace of its overall disruption on people’s lives. A transformative convener, Andrea McGonigle from Microsoft, recently named one of the top 100 influential people in life sciences by PharmaVOICE, brings her patient engagement, cloud expertise and innovative problem-solving approach to the panel discussion. Brace yourself; this program promises to keep you engaged.

Special instructions: The program is in Building 4. Please enter GSK through the main gate off 422 and turn left after passing the security check. The parking light is right after passing the tennis court on the right. You can park in Visitor Parking or any other open space. Once inside Building 4, check with Security and look for signs saying "HBA Event" pointing to Atrium. There will be HBA volunteers to guide you.
