HBA INDIANA PRESENTS

HB8 Supper Club: Are You Biased?

This event has reached capacity and is now offering a wait list registration. This wait list does not confirm your attendance. In the event that a registrant cancels their attendance for this event, you will be notified by the chapter representative for the HB8 dinner program via email. The wait list is managed on a first-come, first-served basis. Any participant who is moved from the wait list to a confirmed attendee will still be responsible for their event costs, which will be administered by the chapter at the time of the event.

Interested in getting to know other HBA members? Would you like to make new friends? Want to feel inspired and empowered? Then come have dinner with us and join the HB8 Supper Club.

In this intimate setting, you and up to seven other great women will have an opportunity to get to know each other in an informal, social environment. We take care of the reservation and logistics and you bring your curiosity and enthusiasm. Out of respect for your fellow diners, please do your best to arrive on time. Also, do remember to bring business cards to take full advantage of the networking opportunities.

Have you heard of unconscious bias? Do you realize everyone has these biases? These biases can affect the way leaders hire, coach and manage their employees. They can also affect how we perceive our peers, as well as strangers. Join Jessica Betts, HBA Indiana 2017 vice president, and Jennifer Zinn, senior vice president, Roche Diagnostics, for an intimate dinner to discuss unconscious bias and how it fits into our world, both professionally and personally. How do you identify and change harmful biases? We will use discussion points from "Blind Spot: Hidden Biases of Good People" by Mahzarin R. Banaji. Please note, it is not a requirement to read the book to join us for dinner and the discussion.

Space is limited to eight people. This is a unique opportunity to have an insightful and inspiring conversation with leaders in the healthcare industry and network with others.

Please note registration does not include dinner.
