HBA NEW ENGLAND REGION PRESENTS
Synergizing Science: Advancing Biotech & Pharma Partnerships
Both Biotech & Pharma bring innovation to patients. Although their cultures, ways of working and resources can be very different, they often need each other to get medicines to patients quickly. Bringing diverse expertise together to collaborate in partnership is a great opportunity to serve patients better – the question is, how do you do it effectively?
Through this panel, we will get an inside view into why and how partnerships between Biotech and Pharma are established. We will hear perspectives from executives in Biotech, Pharma and Venture Capital covering:
- Elements needed for successful partnerships
- Challenges & pitfalls that impact partnering
- Lessons learned from past biotech and pharma partnerships
Opening Remarks: Fiona Marshall, Ph.D.- President, Biomedical Research, Novartis
Panelists:
Abbie Celnicker, Ph.D.- Partner, Third Rock Ventures
Prakash Raman, Ph.D.- President and CEO, Ribon Therapeutics
Catherine Thut, Ph.D., MBA- Therapeutic Area Strategy Head, TAx, Novartis
This event is co-hosted by the HBA New England Commercial Community
