We all want to be able to deliver our messages with confidence and competence but we don’t always feel completely comfortable doing so. Maybe we are worried about forgetting our content or are nervous in front of a high-stakes audience. Delivering with confidence can be LEARNED regardless of the content or the audience. Being able to effectively communicate and demonstrate confidence is all about the nonverbal messages you send to your audience. Your body language, eye contact, use of filler or strong, powerful words all give your audience an impression and you want to make sure it is the best it can be.

During this interactive session you will have the opportunity to learn some practical tips and techniques for communicating confidence whenever you are speaking. The workshop will cover:

      ● The messages your body language communicates and how to control them
      ● Filler words and how to avoid them
      ● Using storytelling to help create a more engaging audience experience
      ● Tips for preparation and ways to gain feedback

Participants will also be provided with a 30-day free trial of Presentr, a mobile app that offers feedback and coaching on presentation skills to help them practice and improve their skills. Participants will be able to see where they are improving and where they need to focus their efforts to be more effective in communicating with confidence.

The first webinar in this series, "Increase Your Communication Confidence in Three Weeks: There's an APP for That," on 3 October 2018 will provide practical tools and tips and an introduction to the Presentr app.

The second webinar in this series, "Presenting Effectively in Any Situation," on 24 October 2018 will discuss the topic of effectively presenting in any situation

Participants will add to their toolkit practical techniques that can be employed right away. We'll review the information the Presentr app can provide to help you communicate with confidence.

Participants can register for one or both webinars. Both webinars will be recorded and a link will available to anyone who is registered.

HBA webinars provide excellent group learning opportunities. These programs can support staff training goals and offer a rich educational experience for field force and global teams. Companies are leveraging HBA webinars to organize their own "lunch and learns," with individuals viewing the program together in a conference or training room.
